Project Pat

Project Pat, born as Patrick Earl Houston on February 8, 1973, is a renowned American rapper hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. He is the older brother of Juicy J, the co-founder of the famous hip hop group, Three 6 Mafia. Project Pat’s music career began in the early 1990s, where he featured on his brother’s releases with DJ Paul. He made a significant impact in 1999 with his solo album, Ghetty Green, released under his brother’s Hypnotize Minds label.

His music gained mainstream attention when he provided the hook for Three 6 Mafia’s hit single “Sippin’ on Some Syrup” in 2000. His second studio album, Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Workin, was released in 2001 and included popular singles like “Chickenhead” and “Don’t Save Her.”

The Memphis legend’s career continued to flourish with the release of several more albums. His third album, Layin’ Da Smack Down, was released in 2002. His more recent work includes a feature on the single “Knife Talk” on Drake’s album Certified Lover Boy in 2021, which reached #4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
